MEMBERSHIP DRIVE 2010

For decades the Securities Lending Section of the SIFMA Operations and Technology Society has served as a forum for like-minded industry participants to communicate about issues that impact our daily professional lives.  Our legacy of service and value to the professional community is rooted in our years of service to our members.  Today, our Securities Lending boasts over 700 members and participants.

To take advantage of peer-to-peer networking, educational forums and have a competitive edge, it is critical for the top level business professionals who are responsible for securities lending sales, operations, legal and compliance to be active members of the Securities Lending Section. Active members are included on our email / contact lists and will therefore be notified as primary contacts when the SLS and SIFMA are notified of material information related to securities lending and will be included when the SLS discusses important issues effecting securities lending. How Much are Dues?

Our first full 2010 membership meeting will be on February 23rd at SIFMA's new conference center, 120 Broadway. As always, the meeting is free for current SLS members and $50 for non-members or inactive members. The $50 entry fee will be accepted as membership dues for 2010. The agenda for the meeting will include a discussion of Securities Lending’s perspective on the recently released FINRA Notice 10-03, and a recap of 2009 and the changes within SIFMA from Divisions to Societies/Sections.
